Mr Trotter's Chestnut Ale
Copper coloured with a subtle, inviting caramel aroma, it has a curious taste - sweet, malty, almost metallic at times. The chestnuts give it a nutty creaminess and a smooth mouthfeel that goes down very easily and at 4% this is a session beer you can enjoy guilt free!
If Mr Trotter's could belt out a tune it would probably resemble the gentle yet stirring vocals of folk singer songwriter Joe Banfi. "The guilt's killing me, but don't forget me brother" Banfi implores us on Where We Part and I think this sums up everybody's relationship with hog lumps. A guilty pleasure that you keep returning to. Well until you find a hairy one that is.........no? Just me then.
